 The Swiss Pass

The Swiss Pass is for people who want to explore part or all of Switzerland during their holidays. It allows you unlimited on the Swiss Travel system including travel by train, bus and boat throughout Switzerland  In addition, you are entitled to receive a discount on many gondolas, funiculars and private mountain trains. This is very convenient option in the event your travels are not completely scheduled in advance.  For example, this would allow you the freedom or changing your plans to easily go 'wherever the weather is good'.   The Swiss Pass is valid for nearly all trains, including special trains such as the Glacier Express, Bernina Express, Heidi Express and Mont Blanc Express. The same applies to bus services: the Swiss Pass is valid for about all buses, but on some special routes, a surcharge (Alpine Ticket) or a seat reservation may be required. With the Swiss Pass you are truly a V.I.P.  You get on board train, boar or bus immediately.  No waiting in line...No going to the ticket counter.

The Swiss Saver Pass

The Swiss Saver Pass is the same as the Swiss Pass, except that you receive a 15% discount for each person when two or more people are traveling together. 

The Swiss Saver Pass is a single ticket, so you need to travel together all the time.  However, It is allowable, for only part of your group  to travel on the pass while the rest does not travel

The Swiss Youth Pass

The Very Economical  Swiss Youth Pass is for people 25 years-of-age and under.  The Swiss Youth Pass offers the same benefits and advantages as the Swiss Saver Pass, but you do not have to have two or more people traveling together.  The Swiss Youth Pass is even less expensive then the Swiss Saver Pass.

 The Swiss Flexi-Pass

The Swiss flexi-Pass offers the exact same unlimited travel as  the Swiss Pass except that you  purchase 3, 4, 5 or 6 days within a period of up to one month. These days do not need to be consecutive.   They can be used as you need them.  The validity of the Swiss Flexi Pass starts at the first day of free traveling and ends after the last day of free traveling.

The two passes are identical, except with the Swiss Flexi-Pass you only pay for the days  you use the pass and you are free to use the pass when you need it.

* Seat reservations and surcharges, where applicable, are not included in the Swiss Pass.

The Swiss Saver Flexi-Pass

The Swiss Saver Flexi-Pass is the same as the Swiss Pass, except that you receive a 15% discount for each person when two or more people are traveling together. 

The Swiss Saver Pass is a single ticket, so you need to travel together all the time.  However, It is allowable, for only part of your group  to travel on the pass while the rest does not travel

Swiss Transfer Ticket

The Swiss Transfer Ticket is best choice for people who stay in a single resort during their holidays and do not travel from there. This item is very popular with companies that are holding meetings at one particular resort.  The Swiss Transfer Ticket includes a round trip from the airport or the Swiss border point of entry to your resort in Switzerland. The ticket is a great convenience for people on most winter sport holidays: just combine a Swiss Transfer Ticket with a local ski pass to cover all your transportation needs.

The Swiss Transfer Ticket is valid for nearly all trains, including special trains such as the Glacier Express, Bernina Express, Heidi Express and Mont Blanc Express. Your Swiss Transfer Ticket is valid for about all buses. On some special routes however, a surcharge (Alpine Ticket) or a seat reservation is required.

* The Swiss Transfer Ticket is valid for a round trip from the airport or the Swiss border to any resort in Switzerland.
 

* The ticket is also valid on several lines in surrounding countries: Basel - EuroAirport (France), Martigny - Chamonix Mont Blanc (France), Brig - Domodossola (Italy) - Locarno via the Centovalli railway, Lugano - Chiavenna (Italy) - St. Moritz, Lugano - Tirano (Italy), Zernez - Malles (Italy), Buchs/Sargans - Liechtenstein - Feldkirch (Austria)

* The Swiss Transfer Ticket is valid for a maximum of one month. The validity ends after your return trip

* each trip needs to be completed in one day and you have to use the most direct route. The quickest, most obvious route can be found using the time-table

* You have the freedom to begin your return trip from a location that is different from than the one you started from

* Also for your convenience, your return trip may end at another border station or airport different from the one you started from

* You can travel by train, bus and boat

* There are various discounts for guided city tours in Basel, Bern, Geneva, Lausanne, Lucerne, Schaffhausen and Z�rich;

* There are also discounts at several hotel chains, like: Best Western, Swiss Backpackers and Minotel;

* With the FREE STS "Family Card", children, stepchildren and foster children from 6 up to and up to and including 15 years or age travel for free if accompanied by at least one of their parents.

* A 50% discount applies on Swiss Transfer Tickets for children from 6 up to and including 15 years old who are not accompanied by either of their parents;

* children up to and including 5 years old (family and non-family) travel for free when accompanied by an adult, unless you want to reserve seats for them in special trains, such as the Glacier Express. As many as 4 children can travel with each adult adult.

* The following items are not included in the Swiss Transfer Ticket: Seat reservations and surcharges; most gondolas, funiculars and mountain trains, Ski lifts.

The Swiss Card

The Swiss Card includes a free round trip from the airport or the Swiss border to your resort in Switzerland. You are entitled to receive a 50% discount when traveling by train, bus and boat throughout Switzerland during your stay. You need to buy regular tickets for each trip, but you will only pay half the price when you show your Swiss Card. Furthermore, you will receive a discount of 50% on many gondolas, funiculars and mountain trains.

These features make this pass very suitable for people who want to explore one or more relatively small regions during their holidays.

The Swiss Card is ideal for most winter sport holidays, as it covers the transportation to and from your resort and offers discounts on further trips. Depending on your activities, you may additionally purchase a local ski pass.

The Swiss Card is valid for nearly all trains, including special trains such as the Glacier Express, Bernina Express, Heidi Express and Mont Blanc Express. The same applies to bus service. Jungfraujoch Top Of Europe
